How Wind, Solar & Power Equipment Are Made

Energy equipment ranges from wind tower sections rolled from 10–80 mm plate, to tapered transmission and street light poles bent on tandem press brakes, solar mounting structures, transformer tanks and battery storage enclosures from thinner sheet. Plates are cut, rolled or bent, then welded and coated.

Very long, thick or tapered parts require high capacity — large rolling machines, synchronized tandem press brakes and dedicated pole production lines.

How are street light and transmission poles made?

Tapered blanks are cut from plate, bent into a polygon on a long or tandem press brake, closed and welded, then galvanized. HARSLE also supplies complete pole production lines.

Which machine rolls wind tower sections?

Large 4-roll or heavy 3-roll plate rolling machines roll tower cans and cones from thick plate.

What is a tandem press brake?

Two (or more) press brakes synchronized by one CNC to act as a single long machine, used for extra-long parts such as poles.
