Laser Cutting Machine Structures

In my work with laser cutting machines, I’ve gained valuable insights into the various structures that make these powerful tools effective and efficient. The design and construction of a laser cutting machine significantly influence its performance, precision, and durability. By understanding the key components—such as the gantry, laser source, and motion systems—I have been able to optimize operations and troubleshoot issues effectively. In this article, I will explore the structures of laser cutting machines, sharing my insights on how each element contributes to the overall functionality and success of laser cutting applications.

The composition of the laser cutting machine:

1.Laser.

2. The optical path and the mechanical structure that drives and supports the optical path are collectively referred to as the main engine.

3. Cooling system.

4. Gas supply system.

5. Power supply.

6. Control System.

Machine body:

Structure and features:

1.The machine body is welded, with good rigidity, stability, and shock resistance.

2.The motion device adopts a precision ball screw, linear guide transmission, and an exclusive screw warning device to ensure the accuracy of the machine.

3.The machine guide rail and the lead screw are closed with a corrugated protective cover to prevent dust and other pollution.

4.According to the performance characteristics of the laser, the optical path compensation system is selected to ensure high cutting quality at any position regardless of the laser of the device.

Structure and features:

1.The inside of the beam is specially designed to ensure the rigidity of the beam.

2.The beam (Y-axis) transmission adopts precision ball screw and linear guide transmission and uses the screw warning device to ensure the machine maintains high precision.

3.The end of the beam is equipped with an operation button, which is convenient for the operator to perform the simple operation at any position where the beam runs, and can immediately stop the machine when an emergency occurs.

4.An anti-collision sign is attached to the conspicuous position of the beam.

Z-Axis

Most of the Z-axis mechanical parts are made of aluminum to reduce component weight and achieve good dynamic performance.
