About these calculators

Are the HARSLE calculators free?

Yes. Every calculator is free to use without registration. You can copy the results or share a link that reopens the calculator with the same inputs.

How accurate are the results?

The calculators use standard engineering formulas (for example the 1.42 × UTS air-bending tonnage formula, DIN 6935 K-factor and the Gardiner springback equation) and published reference tables. Results are reliable estimates for planning, quoting and machine selection. Real parts vary with material batch, tooling condition and machine deflection, so confirm critical values with a test bend or your tooling supplier.

Do the calculators support inches?

Yes. All dimension-based calculators have a mm / inch switch. Switching units converts the values you have already entered.

Can I use the results to choose a HARSLE machine?

Yes. The force calculators show the recommended machine capacity including a safety margin. Send the result to HARSLE and our engineers will confirm the press brake, shear, punch or laser model and tooling.
