Hydraulic Bending Machine: 4 Common Faults And Solutions

Hydraulic Bending Machine 4 Common Faults And Solutions

In my time working with hydraulic bending machines, I’ve encountered various challenges that can disrupt operations. Understanding the common faults that arise with these machines is crucial for maintaining efficiency and quality in metal fabrication. In this article, I will discuss four common faults of hydraulic bending machines and their solutions. By sharing my insights and experiences, I aim to help fellow operators troubleshoot these issues effectively, ensuring that your hydraulic bending machine continues to perform at its best and minimizing costly downtime in your production processes.

Hydraulic Bending Machine: 4 Common Faults And Solutions

Fault 1: No pressure on the hydraulic system of the Hydraulic Bending Machine

●Whether the solenoid of the proportional relief valve is energized and the voltage of the proportional solenoid complies with the requirements. For the reasons mentioned above, please check the relevant electrical reasons.

●Check whether the cartridge valve is stuck or the main spool is blocked, and the damping hole is blocked. If it is the above reason, please remove the overflow valve, clean it, and reinstall it.

●Three-phase power phase adjustment causes the motor to reverse.

Fault 2:The slider of the hydraulic press brake turns quickly and slowly, and the time pause is too long.

●Check whether the oil level of the fuel tank is too low and the filling port is not submerged. When fast-forwarding, the upper cavity of the cylinder is filled with air and the liquid is insufficient. For the above reasons, you can add the oil in the tank to more than 5mm above the filling port to fill the filling hole.

●Check if the fast forward speed is too fast, causing insufficient liquid filling. As mentioned above, you can reduce the fast forward speed by modifying the system parameters.

●Check whether the filling valve is fully opened. If it is due to oil contamination, the valve core of the filling valve cannot move flexibly and there is a stuck phenomenon causing insufficient filling. We need to clean the filling valve and reinstall it to make the valve core flexible.

Fault 3:The hydraulic brake’s slider is normal in return, fast forward is normal, manual cannot be down slowly, and the folding plate is weak.

●Check whether the “two-position four-way” reversing valve that controls the liquid-filling control oil circuit is working normally. If it is, the liquid-filling valve is not closed, so that the upper cavity is in communication with the liquid-filling port of the fuel tank, and pressure cannot be established. The reason that the valve does not work properly is that it is not energized or stuck.

●Check whether the filling valve is stuck. If so, clean the filling valve and reinstall it to make the valve core flexible.

Fault 4:The return speed of the hydraulic bending machine slider is too slow and the return pressure is high.

●This type of failure is mainly due to the liquid filling valve not being opened. This phenomenon is just the opposite of the above-mentioned failure phenomenon. It can be handled by referring to the solution of failure three.
