Introduction

Bending machines are essential tools in various industries, offering precision and efficiency in shaping metal and other materials. Whether it's for fabrication, construction, or manufacturing, these machines play a crucial role in creating a wide array of products. However, like any other equipment, bending machines require regular maintenance and proper use to ensure optimal performance and longevity. In this blog, we'll delve into the importance of bending machine maintenance and provide practical tips for its effective use.

Briefly introduce the Q235 sheet according to the ordinary hydraulic bending machine:

1. First, turn on the power, turn on the key switch on the control panel, and then press the oil pump to start, so you can hear the sound of the oil pump.

2. Stroke adjustment, the use of bending machine must pay attention to adjust the stroke, must test the car before bending. When the upper die of the bending machine is lowered to the lowest part, a gap of a plate thickness must be ensured. Otherwise it will cause damage to the mold and machine. The adjustment of the stroke also has electric quick adjustment and manual adjustment.

3. Select the bending slot, generally choose the slot with 8 times the thickness of the board.

4. The back gauge adjustment generally has electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment, the same method as the shearing machine.

5. Press the foot switch to start bending. The bending machine is different from the shearing machine. You can release it at any time. When you release the foot bending machine, it will stop and continue to descend.

Importance of Maintenance:

1. Regular maintenance is the cornerstone of maximizing the lifespan and performance of bending machines. Neglecting maintenance can lead to decreased efficiency, increased downtime, and even safety hazards. Here are some key reasons why maintenance is crucial:

2. Enhances Performance: Proper maintenance ensures that the bending machine operates at its optimal capacity, delivering accurate bends consistently.

3. Prevents Breakdowns: Regular inspections and servicing help identify potential issues before they escalate into major problems, reducing the risk of unexpected breakdowns.

4. Extends Lifespan: Routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and calibration can significantly extend the lifespan of bending machines, saving on repair costs and downtime.

5. Ensures Safety: Well-maintained machines are safer to operate, minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries to operators and bystanders.

Practical Maintenance Tips:

Before performing machine maintenance or wiping the machine, put the upper and lower molds back and shut down until the work is completed. If you need to start or other operations, you should select the mode manually and ensure safety. The maintenance contents are as follows:

1.Pre-use maintenance:

● Lubricate all parts as required;

● Check whether the county party committee and safety protection devices are in good condition, and the circuit and grounding are in good condition;

●Check if the fasteners in each part are secure;

●Check the presence or absence of abnormalities in each department, and whether there are foreign objects in each operating part.

2. Maintenance after use

●Cut off the power, return the parts, clean the machine, remove all waste and debris, and clean the work site.

3. Hydraulic oil circuit

● Check the fuel tank position weekly. If the hydraulic system is repaired, check it. The oil level should be filled with hydraulic oil below the oil window.

The oil level used in this machine is ISO HM46 or MOBIL DTE25.

● After the new machine is working for 2000 hours, the oil should be changed. After every 4000-6000 hours of operation, the oil should be changed. For each oil change, the fuel tank should be cleaned.

● The system oil temperature should be between 35 °C and 60 °C, and should not exceed 70 °C. If it is too high, it will cause deterioration of oil quality and accessories.

4. Filter

● The filter should be replaced or thoroughly cleaned each time the oil is changed;

● Other filter abnormalities such as alarms or oily oils on the machine tool should be replaced.

● The air filter on the fuel tank is inspected and cleaned every 3 months and replaced in the last year.

5. Hydraulic components

● Clean hydraulic parts every month to prevent dirt from entering the system and not using detergent.

● After using the new machine for one month, check whether there is any deformation at the bend of each tubing. If there is any abnormality, it should be replaced. After two months of use, the joints of all the fittings should be tightened. When this work is performed, the system should be shut down and the system has no pressure.

The hydraulic bending machine comprises a bracket, a worktable and a clamping plate. The worktable is placed on the bracket, the base of the worktable and the pressure plate are formed, and the base is connected with the clamping plate through a hinge. The base is composed of a seat shell, a coil and a cover plate, and the coil is placed The housing is recessed and the top of the recess is covered with a cover.

Effective Use of Bending Machines

In addition to maintenance, utilizing bending machines effectively is essential for achieving optimal results. Here are some tips for their efficient use:

Material Preparation: Ensure that the material to be bent is clean, straight, and free from defects. Proper material preparation helps prevent distortion and ensures accurate bends.

Correct Tooling Selection: Select the appropriate bending tooling based on the material type, thickness, and bending requirements. Using the wrong tooling can result in poor-quality bends and damage to the machine.

Workpiece Positioning: Position the workpiece securely in the bending machine, ensuring proper alignment and support. Use clamps or fixtures to hold the material in place during bending.

Control Parameters: Familiarize yourself with the machine's control parameters such as bending angle, bend radius, and bending speed. Adjust these parameters as needed to achieve the desired bend characteristics.

Monitor Operation: Stay vigilant during the bending process, monitoring for any unusual sounds, vibrations, or irregularities. Stop the machine immediately if you detect any issues and investigate the cause.
