As one of the top local transport equipment companies in South Africa, Company M is responsible for most of the business in South Africa and the surrounding areas, which requires Company M not only to have good quality equipment but also strong production capacity.
At the beginning of 2019, Mr Drew, the purchasing manager of Company M, saw our bending machine on Alibaba International website and was immediately attracted by the beautiful photos, videos and detailed description of the machine. As there was no epidemic at the time and global trade was going on in a normal and orderly manner, the customer decided to gather more information about a few companies and then come to China to see the factory before deciding on a purchase plan.
In April of the same year, Mr Drew and his boss, Mr M, travelled all the way from South Africa to China, where they were met by our salesman Grace at Nanjing South Railway Station and taken on a tour of our factory. Initially, the customer had some concerns, but after seeing the orderly production and the large number of trucks being loaded and shipped, they immediately decided to sign a contract to buy the machine. The customer finally purchased a 250T4000 electro-hydraulic bending machine with DA-52S system and said that if the machine worked well, they would establish a long-term and stable cooperation with us.
After more than three months of manufacturing and shipping, the machine finally arrived at M in the summer, just in time for the production season, and was put into production immediately after installation and commissioning. Shortly afterwards, Mr Drew emailed Grace to say how pleased he was with the machine and asked about the DA-52S system and tooling, all of which Grace explained in detail.
In November of the same year, Mr Drew approached Grace again to say he wanted to buy a hydraulic press, as they had seen many good quality large hydraulic presses in our factory before, and this time they were not going to waste time in choosing and inspecting them, and decided to confirm the details and price of the machine directly with us, and to buy and ship it as soon as possible if it was suitable. With the previous cooperation, there was a basis of trust and we gave the customer some discounts. The deal was reached smoothly and this time the customer purchased Y27-315T hydraulic press and Y27-400T hydraulic press.
As one of these two machines happened to be in stock, the machines were completed before the New Year and after sending a video to the customer and settling the final payment, the machines were shipped out, very fortunately, in time for the epidemic. Both us and the customer were happy that they received the machine without any problems, but the outbreak was followed by a global outbreak, which affected the customer's business even though he was far away from South Africa, and halted his production and purchase plans for a while.
In the following year or two, we have been communicating with our customers one after another, caring about their health and hoping that they will think of us first when they need us. Finally, as the global epidemic improved towards the end of last year, Mr Drew took the initiative to ask Grace about the difference between mechanical punching machines, stroke adjustable punching machines and pneumatic punching machines, and after a full understanding, Mr Drew chose a 160T stroke adjustable punching machine, and then bought a larger 500T Y27 hydraulic press. The machine arrived at M not long ago and is already in good working order.
We hope that Mr Drew's cooperation with us will be smoother and more stable, and that the epidemic will soon be over and production and life in all countries will return to normal.
